"The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils is excellent."

ISI Report 2011

Christian principles underpin all that we do at Wellesley and there is a short chapel service for all children in the school twice during the week. This comprises a hymn, a short address from the Headmaster or Deputy Head, a reading and prayers. On Sunday, chapel is a full matins service with a robed choir and visiting preacher. Parents are always welcome to attend.

Although predominantly Church of England, Wellesley House welcomes children from other faiths and in our teaching of religious studies we encourage children to see the global view.

Other ways in which we aim to develop pupils' spiritual and moral sense are through, PSHE, art, music and the Headmaster's 'Thought for the Week'. Living together as a community contributes significantly to pupils' spiritual awareness and we encourage the pupils to be very aware of the difference between right and wrong; behaving morally and justly is part of the way of life of the school.

The ethos of the school and its Christian values are held in high regard by pupils and staff.
