Prep School Class Teacher

The Headmaster seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, imaginative and caring classroom teacher for the new Wellesley House Pre-Prep. Opening in September 2019 the Pre-Prep will cater for children from Reception to Year 3 inclusive. It is likely that the successful candidate will play an instrumental role in ensuring a smooth transition of pupils from the Pre-Prep into the Prep school. The post is effective from the start of the Michaelmas term 2019.

Based in Broadstairs on the stunning Kent coast, Wellesley House has an outstanding reputation as a successful independent ‘family run’ co-ed boarding and day prep school. Wellesley gives children the best start in life and prepares them for the world beyond in many different ways. With small class sizes, pupils are genuinely able to fulfil their potential.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the school and to support the Headmaster, the Head of Pre-Prep and the governors’ vision for the school. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of teaching in a primary or independent school.

A competitive remuneration package is available, commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

Further information about the role and details of how to apply please contact the Headmaster’s PA, Mrs Baird on 01843862991 or hmsecretary@wellesleyhouse.net.

The closing date for applications is 9am, Wednesday 27th February 2019.

Interviews will be held on Monday 4th March 2019.
