Earlier in year Wellesley Haddon Dene students were invited to take part in The Thanet Schools Art Festival, an annual event featuring 43 schools, infant, primary, prep and senior. The theme of the festival was ‘My Special World’ and an exhibition of all entered works took place over the week beginning Monday 22nd April culminating in an awards event on Saturday 27th. The ten works entered by Wellesley Haddon Dene were made by students attending Friday Art Club, representing years 3 through to 8. With over 700 students in the final exhibition and the standard so high we were delighted when Georgie and April both received runners up prizes from the judges.
