Meet Amy, our new counsellor
My name is Amy Nicholson, I am a qualified counsellor and emotional well-being therapist, and a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I am passionate about supporting children, young people and adults in all areas of their emotional well-being, and promoting and increasing emotional resilience. I have spent the past four years working in schools across Kent, providing 1:1 counselling, emotional well-being support, therapeutic interventions and group work to children and young people, and support and counselling to school staff. I have worked with, and alongside school staff and parents providing information, support and guidance in all aspects of mental and emotional health. I also work independently as a counsellor in private practice, with experience in the areas of anxiety and depression, bereavement and loss, attachment, low self-esteem, self- harm and other complex emotional, behavioural and educational special needs.
I am incredibly excited to be joining Wellesley House to continue to support the emotional well-being of pupils and staff. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the school office to speak with me. Confidentiality is paramount in my work, so be assured you can speak with me in confidence.
